How much do you charge?

I accept most major insurance carriers.  I am also considered an out-of-network provider, which means that you can be reimbursed for a portion of our session if you have out-of-network benefits.  You will want to contact your insurance company to ask questions about your out-of-network coverage, as every insurance plan is unique.

Is everything in the therapy sessions confidential?

The building blocks of therapy include honest and open communication and confidentiality. Most people choose to come to therapy to have a safe place to talk about their feelings and issues, and everything said in session is confidential with a few exceptions as mandated by Law:

Exceptions to confidentiality between a client and therapist:
 • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse
• If a client is seriously threatening to hurt themselves or others

I provide a nonjudgmental, confidential, safe, and empathetic environment.  During sessions, we talk about the primary objectives and issues in your life. We will set the Goals for the treatment and assign actions steps each session to complete.  Usually, initial sessions will be weekly while transitioning to bi-weekly as progress is made.  Some people who are in crisis or extreme distress find that they need more than one session per week, at least until the crisis passes.

I work with individuals to help them to realize their full potential, examine their barriers, and gain insight into the source of their behaviors and actions. We will work together as a team to understand how your history affects your behavior and thinking today.
